Car ride mentality
Everything we do is value vs. cost
People can dread to go to the field because there's a lot of cost. We want to create an environment where they feel they're going to do well.
My goal is how do I make them feel more comfortable with me and be happier and more excited about working with me today. Be an exemplar example. Do the right thing not the easy thing. You want people to be inspired to follow you. Be the person someone would want to follow
Things that bring value
- Carry the pod/merch
- Have a clean car, your car is a representation of you. If you have a tidy car it shows you care
- Go out your way to help that person - they have food, they have travel
- Be indifferent to things which could happen
Eg. Train cancelled “Oh well, I know there’s a bus in a few minutes which we can get instead”
Attitude has to bleed through, no matter what we’re doing
- Have real conversations and talk about what they want to talk about, be fun & genuine. Talk about them, get to know them. Always make sure the new person feels involved. I never want them to feel they're new or can't add to the conversation, make them feel comfortable and part of the team.
- Be yourself, why wouldn't anyone like you if you are yourself. Don't force anything. This person is so driven about where they're going. They don't have time to talk about neg.'s, people who aren't here any more etc.
- It's how we make people feel - there's more than just the sales.
- Great leaders are constantly thinking what do they need to hear, what can I say to get them more locked into this etc. It's how much can we raise their impulse.
Things that bring cost
- Smoking/vaping
- Eating in the car ride. It’s not a picnic, it is an extension of atmosphere.
